The Zhonghai Heshan Daguan project in Inner Mongolia built by CSCEC is among the first ultra-low-energy demonstration projects in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and serves as the first large-scale ultra-low-energy residential building project in the cold area.

The project combines exterior wall insulation, air tightness treatment, thermal bridges, and energy supply to save up to 90% of energy. The use of integrated cooling and heating equipment, rooftop solar panels, and auxiliary electric heating reduces heating costs by about 40%, maintains indoor temperatures in extreme weather with less energy, and meets electricity demand for underground garage lighting.
